This weekend we will be celebrating the 234 birthday of the greatest country in the world. I am thankful to have been born in this country. Through my years, I have had the opportunity to visit other country’s, and I do say that this one is the greatest.
Many will begin their festivities today. The holiday weekend will be full of fireworks, parades, family picnics, pool, lake and all the other things that we do to “celebrate” our nations freedom. Many are simply looking forward to the long, three day, weekend and not facing Monday as another work day. The Fourth means different things to different people.
Take time in your busy holiday festivities to be thankful for what we have in America. Our country has changed so much in the last few years. Some would say she has changed for the good and others for the worse. Regardless, I am proud to be an American. Take time to reflect on what life might have been like if God would have allowed you to be born in another country. Take time to reflect how you have been blessed in this country. Take time to thank God for allowing you to be here.
